The tour comes in support of Metallica’s latest album, "Hardwired… To Self-Destruct". Their enthusiasm speaks for itself from an interview after announcing their North American tour, "Following last summer's sold-out 25-date stadium run, this year we're bringing the in-the-round production currently being seen in European arenas to the U.S. and Canada kicking off on September 2, 2018, in Madison, WI. Along the way we'll be visiting 34 cities we did not go to last year, including a few we haven't been to in decades, including Grand Forks, ND (nearly 30 years), Sioux Falls, SD, El Paso, TX, Birmingham, AL (nearly 26 years) and State College, PA (20 years). About time, wouldn't you say?!”

Metallica is the world’s number one thrash metal band. A California band that came together in 1981, they spent a number of years under the radar in the underground music scene, emerging in 1988 to great success with their “…And Justice For All” album. Throughout their career the band has released 10 studio albums and 4 live albums. With 37 single hits, the band has been nominated for 23 Grammy Awards, winning 9 awards. To date they’ve sold more than 120 million records around the world.
