Mark your calendars for Aug. 11 for this popular, family-friendly event.

BIRMINGHAM, MI — The Birmingham Farmers Market’s most popular event, the Corn Festival, is coming up 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11. Besides fresh Michigan sweet corn, families can enjoy games, special crafts, demonstrations and old-fashioned corn shelling.
There will be fresh prepared corn dishes including roasted corn, corn bread and other homemade recipes. The day’s top seller will be fresh roasted Michigan sweet corn with plenty of toppings provided by My Garden Produce.
Attendees will see and pet a variety of farm animals including goats, sheep and chickens, courtesy of Bowers School Traveling Farm. The event will also feature food trucks, too, including Ned's TravelBurger, Franks Etc. and Little Donut Factory.
