MI Coach Investigated Over Sexually Explicit Texts To Student

A Macomb County basketball coach is under investigation after a girl's parents say he sent her sexually explicit messages.

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — A Macomb County basketball coach is being investigated for allegedly sending sexually explicit text messages to a student, police said.

A family reported that their daughter was receiving sexually explicit messages from an Eisenhower High School 9th grade girls’ basketball coach.

Now the Macomb County Sheriff’s MACE unit (Macomb Area Computer Enforcement) is conducting an investigation inside Utica Community Schools.

Eisenhower High School students are tenth through twelfth-grade students. Players on the Eisenhower ninth grade girls’ basketball team would come from both Malow and Shelby Junior high schools, police said, adding that so far they believe there to be only one victim.

Police said the Eisenhower coach has been cooperative with the investigation.
