DEARBORN, MI – It's an annual tradition that Dearborn carries on, even in the digital age: Getting kids outside and on the water for a little fishing.

The 23rd Annual Children’s Fishing Derby will be Saturday, July 13 at Camp Dearborn, beginning at 8 a.m. The event will feature competition in five age groups: 3-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12-15 and 16-18. Prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish and the most fish in each age group.

Participation in the event—which will take place on Eppinger Lake—is free with a paid gate admission to Camp Dearborn. The first 100 kids registering on site will receive a free t-shirt.
