Dearborn Offers Golfing Programs For Youth

Golfers ages 7-17 are invited to take part in these summer programs.

DEARBORN, MI — Calling all of the city's youngest golfers and aspiring putters.

Golf enthusiasts, aged 7-17, are invited to register for the Dearborn Recreation & Parks Department’s “Drivers” or “Putters” programs, both of which begin June 18.

The Drivers and Putters programs, offered at the Robert Herndon Dearborn Hills Golf Course on Tuesdays, feature instructional clinics and several holes of play.

The Putters program, for youngsters ages 7-11, offers two, four-week sessions that meet June 18-July 9 and July 16-August 6 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The cost is $75, which includes a $26 non-refundable greens fee.

The Divers program, for youngsters ages 12-17, runs June 18-August 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and concludes with a competitive tournament the final day. The cost is $135, which includes a $40 non-refundable greens fee.
