Fishing Derby Held At Camp Dearborn

DEARBORN, MI— The tradition continues, even in this digital age. The 23rd Annual Children’s Fishing Derby will be Saturday, July 13 at Camp Dearborn, beginning at 8 a.m.

The event will feature competition in five age groups—3-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12-15 and 16-18 —and prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish and the most fish in each age group.

Participation in the event—which will take place on Eppinger Lake—is free with a paid gate admission to Camp Dearborn, and the first 100 kids registering on site will receive a free t-shirt.
Participants should bring their own rod, bucket and bait.
