Labor Day Closings, Delays In Dearborn
Here's how the holiday week affects Dearborn residents.

DEARBORN, MI — Dearborn’s trash pick-up will be delayed by one day for the week of September 2-6 due to the Labor Day holiday. Labor Day is Monday, Sept. 2.
Trash will be picked up Tuesday-Saturday. For example, homes with regular Monday trash pickups will be serviced on Tuesday; homes with regular Tuesday trash pickups will be serviced on Wednesday, and so on.
The Dearborn Administrative Center, Ford Community and Performing Arts Center, 19th District Court and the Dearborn Ice Skating Center will all be closed on Labor Day. The Dearborn Ice Skating Center also will close early at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31 and Sunday, Sept. 1.

Bryant and Esper Branch libraries will be closed during the entire Labor Day weekend from Aug. 31 – Sept. 2. After Labor Day, both libraries will resume their current extended hours while the Henry Ford Centennial Library is closed for renovations.
City buildings will reopen with normal business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Residents are reminded that Public Service Days are not enforced on weeks during which a holiday disrupts the trash collection schedule. However, residents are encouraged to keep parked vehicles off the streets whenever possible on their trash day and their usual Public Service Day.
