METRO DETROIT, MI — Many streets around Metro Detroit are still flooded due to this week’s rainfall and flash floods in the region. As of Thursday morning, the Michigan Department of Transportation said several ramps and freeways were still experiencing flooding, rendering them unusable to motorists.

For the time being, MDOT cautions drivers to avoid these roads:

  • The east and westbound I-94 ramps to the Southfield Freeway in Allen Park are closed.
  • All north and southbound lanes of the Southfield Freeway are closed at Outer Drive.
