DEARBORN, MI — Shoppers around Metro Detroit can kick off their holiday shopping with special perks at Downtown Dearborn’s business community starting on Small Business Saturday, Nov.30, through Sunday, Dec. 8.

Dearborn's Small Business Saturday begins the annual passport program in the city.

Here's how it works: Before hitting the shops, patrons are invited to download and print the Passport to Savings, a pamphlet outlining more than 30 businesses’ in-store deals, to get stamped and returned for a chance to win prizes provided by local retailers. The Shop Small Downtown Dearborn Passport will also be available in participating stores and restaurants beginning the week of November 18.

“Locally owned businesses reinvest more than 70% of their earnings in their community,” said Cristina Sheppard-Decius, executive director of the East and West Dearborn Downtown Development Authorities. “When you shop local in Downtown Dearborn, you are both supporting hardworking community members and helping grow the Downtown districts. During Shop Small, we aim to inspire shoppers to visit Downtown Dearborn year-round, and in turn, create a more vibrant experience for all.”

The more a patron shops and dines, the better their chances at winning will be. For every Passport stamp received at any one of the participating businesses listed below during Shop Small Downtown Dearborn, shoppers and diners will be entered to win local prizes:
