Brush Street Overpass Repair Starts On I-94 In Detroit
Expect these delays while traveling through Detroit.
DETROIT, MI — Construction season is here in Metro Detroit and crews will be getting to work on a bridge in Detroit over I-94 next week.
Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) contract crews will begin prep work on Monday, April 8, to replace the Brush Street overpass above I-94 in Detroit, MDOT officials said this week.
All work on this $11.6 million investment is scheduled to be completed in November.
The overpass will be closed to all traffic on April 8 with detours posted. The eastbound I-94 service drive will also be closed adjacent to Brush Street.
The bridge replacement is part of the I-94 modernization project in Detroit that involves rebuilding 7 miles of freeway and replacing 67 bridges between Conner Street and I-96.
