DETROIT, MI — Two Detroit neighborhoods are about to be brimming with notable artwork. The Detroit Institute of Arts has chosen the campus of Wayne State University and the North Corktown neighborhood as the latest locations for Inside|Out, a one-of-a-kind program that displays high-quality art reproductions from the DIA’s collection throughout the community.

“At the DIA, we strive to inspire the communities we serve through the power of art,” DIA Director Salvador Salort-Pons said. “Through Inside|Out, we are able to make our world-renowned art collection more accessible to tri-county residents by providing unique art experiences that can’t be duplicated by books, TV or the internet.”

The DIA will display various art pieces throughout Wayne State University’s campus and North Corktown until the second week of July. The art installations are all within walking or bike-riding distance from each other, organizers said.
