DEARBORN, MI — It's the 40th annual year for Dearborn's Homecoming and the entertainment schedule is one of the featured highlights of the signature summer event.

A multitude of spirited performers will take the Main Stage and several regional favorites will energize the Food Court Stage throughout the weekend, organizers explained. The lineups include rock, acoustic, folk, and pop, and a multitude of lively bands performing original music and covering classic hits.

The Santana Project, a Santana tribute band, kicks off the festival’s main stage entertainment from 6-7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2. They will be followed by Atomic Radio, known for their covers of today’s and yesterday’s pop, rock, and hip-hop hits, at 8:30 p.m.

Plenty of music, and a little magic, will be at the Food Court Stage as well during Homecoming:

  • Friday: Dearborn-based Sunglasses After Dark, will play alternative, Brit-pop, and garage-style rock.
  • Saturday: Gordon Russ the Magician; rock and blues act DownRiver Dan and the Billies; and Dave Boutette & Kristi Lynn Davis will bring folk-inspired harmonies and acoustic music.
  • Sunday: Joel Tacey’s Family Magic & Juggling Comedy Show; Cruizin’ Jupiter covering timeless ballads, today’s dance tunes, and modern country; and Holly and the Johnnies!, a high-energy dance and variety band playing classic Motown hits to today’s chart-topping songs.

All concerts are free, as is admission to Homecoming. Fireworks displays will follow both Saturday and Sunday night performances at 10 p.m.
