How To Get A Free Ride Home NYE

To help curb drinking and driving, this metro Detroit law firm is covering your ride home from the bar.

MICHIGAN — For those who have one too many champagne toasts to usher in 2019 Monday night, a local law firm has your back. The Christensen Law firm in Southfield will pay for free rides home from the bar through its "Safe Ride Home" program, now in its third year.

This year the program is expanding beyond metro Detroit to Washtenaw, Genesee, Bay and Kent counties, the Free Press reported.

The offer is good from 4 p.m. on Monday through 4 a.m. Tuesday for anyone 21 and up. The maximum reimbursement is $35, which should cover a one-way ride home.
