Price Is Right Holding Auditions In Detroit

DETROIT, MI — CBS's The Price Is Right is coming back to Detroit to look for contestants.

It's CBS 62's first Detroit-area Contestant Search in six years and it's set for noon to 4 p.m. on Sept. 11 at Greektown Casino-Hotel. U.S. legal residents ages 18 and up are invited to audition.

Two participants from CBS 62’s local search will be selected to fly to L.A. and attend a taping of the legendary game show. A bidder's spot on Contestants' Row will be guaranteed to one of the two participants, who will learn if they are selected to "come on down" when they hear their name called during the show's taping.

The Price Is Right - hosted by Drew Carey - is the longest running game show in Television history, and will be entering its 48th season this fall on CBS. In the summer of 2009, The Price Is Right held its first- ever nationwide contestant search, including an event here in the Detroit area. Now ten years later, The Price Is Right is still generating excitement with local events occurring in select cities across the country, including this one at Greektown Casino-Hotel.

Each person auditioning at CBS 62’s local search must bring a completed application, along with a valid photo ID. Applicants will be videotaped by CBS 62 and will get 30 seconds to explain why they want to be on The Price Is Right.
