This Is The Richest Zip Code In Michigan

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI — Bloomberg has ranked American cities by the richest in the country and Michigan’s richest community makes the top 20 in the Midwest. Bloomfield Hills, or the zip code 48304, ranked as the richest and is the only city in the state to make the Midwest’s list. In the U.S. rankings, it’s the 168th richest place.

The annual average salary in Bloomfield Hills is $177,600, a 21.6% percent increase in the last five years. The average house costs $370,000, according to the report. Currently, the most expensive home on the market in Bloomfield Hills is just shy of $10 million.

But it gets much more expensive than that.

The richest ZIP code in all of America, according to Bloomberg, is Fisher Island, near Miami Beach, Fla. The average income there was $2.5 million in 2015.

Two other zip codes in Florida -- Palm Beach (home of President Trump’s private club) and Naples -- made the top 20. Suburbs of Seattle, Philadelphia, Chicago and Boston also landed in the highest spots.

7. 90067: Los Angeles, Calif. ($905K)
8. 60043: Kenilworth, Ill. ($861K)
9. 02493: Weston, Mass. ($860K)
10. 94111: San Francisco, Calif. ($776K)
11. 07931: Far Hills, N.J. ($747K)
12. 02110: Boston, Mass. ($711K)
13. 94028: Portola Valley, Calif. ($701K)
14. 83014: Moose Wilson Road, Wyo. ($699K)
15. 34102: Naples, Fla. ($694K)

Who didn’t make the top 20? Any of the zip codes in Manhattan. However, several Manhattan neighborhoods made the top 50, starting with the venerable zip code of 10005 at No. 21 on the list.
