Describe your art: Mixed Media
How did you get started as an artist?: I began drawing with my crayons and in the sand on the beach as a toddler, whenever and where ever I could make a mark. I have no formal training really other than classes here and there. I do teach drawing at the Tuscola Center for the Arts now and then.

Describe your art: Mixed Media. My ‘Women of the Bible’ art was done completely from my spirit. I had the thought and desire which led me to begin with Bathsheba, and within a few weeks had all the ladies finished. Each piece has a story within it. Like Ruth; having a deck of cards hanging over her head. I put that there to symbolize her ‘gambling’ that Boaz would accept her the night she laid at his feet. Eve is holding herself rocking in disappointment of the choice she made. The red at her feet symbolizes the blood shed from the animals that had to be killed to cover her nakedness - hence the animal skins. Mary has Christmas music behind her...just to name a few of the symbolism’s...there are many.
What is your next project?: My next project is to do a group of famous men in this same style.

What inspires you?: What inspires me are faces, the human body .
I do not belong to any organizations at this time.
