Birmingham Boutique Accused of Leaving Purse Dealer Holding a $41K Bag
A New Jersey luxury handbag dealer is suing for $124K after selling a local shop 5 extravagant Birkin bags, which cost $12,300 a pop.

A New Jersey luxury handbag dealer is claiming a Birmingham boutique took a delivery of five pricey Hermes Birkin bags without paying more than $41,000 for them, according to a Detroit News report.
Charles Rogers, the owner of Only Authentics, accused Anthony Aubrey, owner of Birmingham Estate & Jewelry Buyers, of bilking Rogers out of the full payment for five leather Birkin bags worth $61,500, the report stated. Aubrey made a $20,000 deposit for receipt of the purses, but he refuses to fork over the $41,500 he owes or the handbags, the report added.

In fact, Aubrey allegedly sold some or all the purses for less than they were worth to a store in Baltimore, the report stated. Aubrey also claims that Rogers owed him for previous purchases, which is why the boutique owner hasn’t ponied up for the purses, the report added.
Rogers initially tried to resolve the dispute over the purses, which cost around $12,300 each. But when that didn’t work, Rogers didn’t take the law into his own hands. He decided to take Aubrey to court.

The lawsuit was filed in federal court July 16, and Rogers is suing for either the return of the purses or a payment of $124,500, the report stated.
