Whittaker is the new VP of Public Relations. The club’s new Secretary is Corissa Banghart, Jim Orolim will serve as Treasurer, and Paula Simpson is the Sergeant-at-Arms. "Many people have this idea that Toastmasters is a social speaking club," said Wesley A. Whittaker, the club's new VP of Public Relations. "The organization does teach people how to become confident and articulate public speakers, but that is only a small part of Toastmasters today. Our focus is on professional leadership development. If you or your employees are not proficient at running a productive meeting with an agenda, giving an effective presentation, or giving and receiving constructive feedback then you should check out Toastmasters. We are the proven provider of the soft skills needed for success in today's business environment. Many employers even give their employees time off to attend Toastmasters meetings because the results are dramatic."
