Genesee County 9-1-1 will be accepting applications for full time telecommunicators until June 1, 2021 to develop a 1-year eligibility list. Genesee County 9-1-1 offers a comprehensive wage and benefit package including, competitive wages, paid holidays, health dental optical and life insurance, 401a retirement plan, and paid training. Successful applicants MUST:

- NOT have a criminal history or warrants
- Pass a drug screen, and medical and psychological evaluation
- Pass an extensive background investigation
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Have a valid driver license along with reliable transportation
- Be able to type at least 35 correct words per minute
- Be able to train/work at least 40 hours per week
In addition, successful employment candidates WILL be expected to:
- Work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Be available for overtime
