Lake Fenton Winter Classic to Return

As the winter nears us and Barnum Lake freezes over it will become the home of the Third Annual Lake Fenton Winter Classic.  

The hockey tournament will take place Jan. 24 - 26 and again be located behind The Fireplace and Lakeside Market located at 2238 North Long Lake Road in Fenton.  

Teams (Age 18+) of seven will compete in a 4-on-4 game with no goalies only pure pond hockey.  Inside The Fireplace there will be food, beverages, and live entertainment.  The festivities will start on Friday January 24with a player registration party located at Fireplace.  The registration party is open to the public. 

There will be five divisions to make competitive play at all levels. Games will be played on Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday morning.  The championship game will be played on Sunday afternoon.  The winner of each division will be able to lift the Des Crowley Memorial Cup and have their team name engraved on it. Registration opens Thursday November 28, 2013.  Space is limited.
