Olga's Kitchen Honors Late Founder's Birthday with a Giveaway
Company offering select menu items free, encouraging community members to post how Olga inspired them

Olga’s Kitchen, an iconic Michigan brand owned and operated by Livonia-based TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), will publicly celebrate its late founder, Olga Loizon, on her birthday by offering guests two free side items on Tuesday, May 21.
Guests who visit Olga’s Kitchen throughout the day on what would have been its founder’s 93rd birthday will receive two of its classic side items, which include The Olga Salad, Olga’s Seasoned Curly Fries or a cup of Olga’s famous Peasant or Broccoli Soup, for free with any dine-in purchase. The offer is valid all day at any Olga’s Kitchen restaurant.
In addition to its free offer on select menu items, Olga’s Kitchen will have postcards on its dining tables where guests can leave a message of how Olga Loizon inspired them or their greatest inspiration. The messages will be displayed for the public to view on its Community Boards in each restaurant.

“We are celebrating Olga Loizon’s birthday as she would have wanted us to by offering our guests the opportunity to enjoy some of our signature menu items on us,” said Loredana Gianino, marketing manager of Olga’s Kitchen. “When Olga founded Olga’s Kitchen, she took an inventive approach to the menu and served as an inspiration for women forging their own path in business. We are happy to carry on that tradition today in our restaurants in memory of our legendary founder on this special day and every day.”
Loizon passed away in January 2019. Following the passing of Loizon in January 2019, TSFR and Olga’s Kitchen committed to preserving her legacy. Together, they established the Olga, A Life Wrapped in Love Foundation. The foundation will provide financial support to women entrepreneurs like Loizon in their pursuit of starting the state’s next iconic business. The foundation aims to provide grants ranging between $5,000 and $10,000.
