Suspect in Bus Stabbing to be Arraigned on Murder Charges
Police said Tiffanie Edwards, 29, turned herself in after police received multiple calls identifying her.

Tiffanie Edwards, 29, turned herself into police in the fatal stabbing death of another passenger on a city bus in Detroit Wednesday afternoon, and will be arraigned on first-degree murder charges Friday morning in 36th District Court.
Edwards is accused of stabbing a 50-year-old woman after she bumped her with her walker while getting off the Detroit Department of Transportation.
Detroit Police Sgt. Cassandra Lewis said police received numerous calls identifying the victim, according to a report on WWJ/CBS Detroit. Some of those calls came from Edwards’ family members, police said.

The incident on a Detroit Department of Transportation bus occurred near Rosa Parks and West Grand Boulevard. An argument between the two women spiraled out of control as the victim was exiting the bus. Police said the suspect stabbed the victim numerous times before fleeing on foot.

The victim, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at a hospital.
