Woman Fatally Stabbed After Bumping Another Passenger on Bus

The suspect remains at large, and police have asked the public's help in finding her.

A 50-year-old Detroit woman who reportedly bumped another passenger with her walker while exiting a city bus was fatally stabbed Wednesday.

The 30-year-old woman who allegedly stabbed the victim about 3:45 p.m. remains at large, and police are asking the public’s help in locating her. The incident on a Detroit Department of Transportation bus occurred near Rosa Parks and West Grand Boulevard.

The suspect is described as a black female with a dark complexion who stands about 5 feet, 9 inches and weighs about 130 pounds, Detroit police said, according to reports on WDIV-TV and The Detroit News. She was wearing a white shirt and black pants.

An argument between the two women spiraled out of control as the victim was exiting the bus. Police said the suspect stabbed the victim numerous times before fleeing on foot.

The two women may have been arguing before they got on the bus at the same stop at the Rosa Parks Transit Center on Michigan and Cass, the Detroit Free Press said.

The victim was pronounced dead at a Detroit hospital, according to media reports.
