Ferndale Questioning Use Of Wild Animals At Events
Should Ferndale ban the use of exotic and wild animals at citywide events? Council is voting on such an ordinance.

FERNDALE, MI — Ferndale officials are considering banning the use of wild or exotic animals in events or displays within the city, according to a report.
The Detroit Free Press said the Ferndale City Council is considering a ban on the display or performance of animals on public or private property in the city. The ordinance is on the consent agenda for Monday night’s City Council meeting.
According to the report, city officials have said some instances in the last several years have “caused concern” about the misuse of animals at citywide events.
