Flint Juneteenth Parade Disrupted After Police Shooting
Authorities said a Flint police officer was shot at before returning fire.
FLINT, MI — A Juneteenth celebration in Flint ended abruptly Saturday when a Flint police officer shot a man authorities say opened fire on the officer first.
The police officer was not injured during the shooting, according to the Michigan State Police — which is heading the investigation into the shooting. No bystanders were injured either, police said.
According to MSP, the shooting took place around 2:14 p.m. Saturday. The officer was working a traffic point for the Juneteenth Celebration Parade in Flint.

The person accused of shooting at the officer was taken to Hurley Medical Center, according to Flint Police. Their condition has not been released.
