Mom Puts 11-Month-Old Twins In Suitcase When CPS Comes: Cops

The twin girls were found in a suitcase that was left near a curb, police said. Their mother has a history of mental illness, police said.

FLINT, MI — Police say a Flint mom put her 11-month-old twins into a suitcase and took off when officials with the state Child Protective Services agency went to her home to take custody of her four children. The incident happened around 6 p.m. on Wednesday on the 500 block of West Pierson Road, NBC 25 reported.

Officers chased the woman and caught up to her a short distance away at a home down the road.

Two boys ages 3 and 4 were not hurt, police told WJRT-TV. The mother may face charges later, the station said.
