6 On Leave After Woman Dies In Harper Woods Police Custody

A 38-year-old woman died while in a holding cell, and six people are on leave while the incident is looked into, according to reports.

WAYNE COUNTY, MI — Six Harper Woods Police Department public safety personnel have been place on administrative leave after a 38-year-old woman died while in police custody, according to reports.

Priscilla Slater was fond unresponsive in a holding cell Wednesday after being arrested in connection with a shooting on Tuesday, according to ClickOnDetroit.

Police said on Sunday that four civilian aides and two supervisors in the public safety department had been placed on administrative leave while an investigation into the death begins, according to ClickOnDetroit.
