Grosse Pointe Man Charged In Dollar Store Robbery, Sexual Assault
The man is accused of robbing and sexually assaulting two dollar store employees at gunpoint, prosecutors said.
DETROIT — A Grosse Pointe man has been charged in the armed robbery and sexual assault of two Dollar Store employees in Detroit.
Antonio Lee Cotton, 34, is charged with two counts of torture, two counts of kidnapping, two counts of armed robbery, 11 counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, six counts of felonious assault, one count of felon in possession and 24 counts of felony firearm.
Cotton was arraigned Tuesday morning and lodged in the Wayne County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court again on July 13 for a probable cause conference.

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said Cotton is accused of robbing and sexually assaulting a 43-year-old woman and a 56-year-old woman at a Detroit dollar store in the 20430 block of Van Dyke.
The reported assault took place in November 2020, officials said. Prosecutors said the accused entered the store as a customer, pulled a gun, robbed and sexually assaulted the women before fleeing the store.
