Brendan Walsh Resigns from Grosse Pointe Public School Board
Board trustee and treasurer Brendan Walsh announced his immediate resignation from the Grosse Pointe Public School Board Thursday afternoon on his website.

Long time Grosse Pointe Public School Board trustee Brendan Walsh is resigning immediatley from the Grosse Pointe Public School board, according to an announcement he posted on his website.
His resignation comes a few weeks after the newest contracts with teachers and other unionized employees was approved and ratified.
According to his public resignation letter, he is leaving at a point when the district is in a financially sound position as a result of much of the work he did during his time on the board.

He began serving on the board in 2005 and sought the position to help the district in a time when it was not on stable financial ground. In the letter he says he's achieved his goal and is thankful for the experience serving on the board.
His letter outlines a variety of initiatives he was a part of during his time on the board and emphasizes his focus was always with the best interest of the district and its students at heart.
