Charges Will Not be Filed in Councilman's Arrest in Grosse Pointe Shores
The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office will not be filing charges in a domestic case involving Grosse Pointe Shores Mayor Pro-Tem Dan Schulte.

After reviewing the case sent by Grosse Pointe Shores Department of Public Safety, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office will not be filing charges against Mayor Pro-Tem Dan Schulte, spokeswoman Maria Miller said Monday.
Schulte was arrested by Grosse Pointe Shores police Thursday, May 16, 2013, in connection with a domestic situation. Details surrounding his arrest have not been released by Grosse Pointe Shores Public Safety.
The case was reviewed by prosecutors Friday, Miller said.

"The warrant request was denied on Friday because there was insufficient evidence to proceed," Miller said Monday via email.
Dan Schulte has been on the council since April 2009. He has served as the Mayor Pro-Tem since Novmeber 2011. He recently ran for the state representative seat to represent district one but lost his bid to current representative Brian Banks, of Harper Woods.
