Columbus Day Weekend Weather for Metro Detroit: Get Outside!

The weekend weather will be perfect for a trip to a cider mill, pumpkin patch, fall foliage tour or some other outdoor activity.

METRO DETROIT, MI — A three-day weekend is coming up for some people who get Columbus Day off as a holiday, and it’s going to feel like fall — perfect weather for a trip to a cider mill, pumpkin patch, a fall foliage tour or some other activity that just feels better on the crisp days of autumn.

Clouds overnight Friday give way to sunny skies that will stick around through the Columbus Day holiday. Cloud cover will probably make the Draconid meteor shower, which peaks Friday, a bust, but you may see a stray shooting star or two on Saturday night.
