Domestic Battery Ends in Arrest in Grosse Pointe Farms

Grosse Pointe Farms police arrested a 47-year-old resident April 11 for domestic battery after officers were called to the house by her husband. The husband told police he arrived home to find that his wife had been drinking. She asked him if he was having an affair, he said he wasn't going to talk to her when she was drunk. She began following him around so  he pulled out his cell phone and began recording her behavior. He told her if she didn't stop he would leave and then she began scratching him while trying to get his cell phone prompting him to call police. Officers watched the video to confirm the man's story because the wife provided a different story saying she went to bed after he told her to stop following him, according to a report.

Retail Fraud Warrant Elicits Teen to Turn Self In

A 17-year-old Detroit boy turned himself into Grosse Pointe Farms police April 8 for a retail fraud warrant. The teenager arrived to the station to turn himself in shortly after 10 a.m. He was taken into custody without a problem. The warrant is related to a 2012 case, according to a report.

Teenagers Spotted After Window is Broken with Rock

Grosse Pointe Farms police are investigating a broken kitchen window of a home on Stephens Road in which three teenagers were seen walking away from the scene April 7. The homeowner called police after her son explained that he heard young boys yell an explicative along with the family's last name. Immediately following that was a loud crashing sound, which they discovered was a broken kitchen window. A rock was thrown through the window. The homeowner reported seeing three teenaged boys walking from the area when she was on her way home, according to a report.
