Grosse Pointe City Council Approves Road Repair Plan
$1.1 Million Resurfacing Project Accepting Bids Soon

Mon. Jan 8, Grosse Pointe City Council voted to approve a road resurfacing plan for 2018. Roads on the city’s list for repair include parts of Notre Dame, Charlevoix, and Neff and Lakeland. The plan also includes repairs to Kercheval Place, delayed last year because of utility work.
City Council expects to spend around $1.1 million on the project, relying on $860,000 from a recent road improvement levy and $285,000 from the city’s share of state taxes on vehicle fuels. The bidding process is expected to begin soon, and work will start this spring.
