Grosse Pointe Makes Top 10 List Of Best Suburbs To Live In MI

GROSSE POINTE, MI — Grosse Pointe has been named to Niche's 2021 list of top 10 Best Suburb to Live in Michigan rankings.

The town was named the number 6 best suburb in Michigan, and the number 1 best place to live in Wayne County.

The rankings were determined by using data from the U.S. Census Bureau, FBI, CDC and other agencies, combined with reviews from people that live in the area.

The rankings consider a variety of topics to determine a town or city's standing, including affordability, local housing market, neighborhood diversity, local public schools and walkability, to name a few.

Grosse Pointe earned high marks for its public schools, housing, jobs, nightlife and health & fitness— all of which earned an A- or A+ ranking.

The suburb's standing took a bit of a hit when it comes cost of living, crime & safety, diversity, weather and commute – all of which received a B or B- rating.

The top 10 suburbs in Michigan are as follows:

• Haslett

Nationally, Niche's research found that Chesterbrook, PA was the best place to live in America, while The Woodlands, TX earned top honors in the Best Cities to Live in America rankings.
