Grosse Pointe School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Grosse Pointe is September 5. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Grosse Pointe Public School System has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

• 12/25 - 1/2: No School (Winter Break)

• 1/1 - 1/2: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/15: No School (MLK Day)

February

• 2/19 - 2/23: No School (Mid Winter Break)

March

• 3/30 - 4/6: No School (Spring Break)

April

• 4/2 - 4/6: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/15: Last Day for Students, Final Exams Grades 9-11
