Grosse Pointe School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School

GROSSE POINTE, MI — The first day of school in Grosse Pointe is September 5 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Grosse Pointe School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

November

• 11/6: No School (Election Day)
• 11/21 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/18 - 2/22: No School (Mid-Winter Recess)

March

• 3/1 - 3/5: No School (Spring Break)

April

• 4/19: No School (Good Friday)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day Weekend)

June

• 6/14: Last Day of School/Half Day
