Holiday Closures, Comedy Show, Blood Drive and More This Week

Here are some events to add to your weekly calendar:

• City offices in all five Grosse Pointes will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
• Trash will not be collected Tuesday and Wednesday, in Grosse Pointe Shores, and will be collected Thursday for both days. Rubbish collection will then be delayed one day.
• Trash will not be collected Wednesday in Grosse Pointe City, Farms, Parks and Woods, and will be delayed one day.
• The Grosse Pointe Comedy Club at 8 p.m. Saturday welcomes Dave Landau, Nate Weatherup and Michael Isaac for an evening of laughs at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial Theatre. Tickets are $20 in advance. 
  
• The Woods branch of the Grosse Pointe Public Library will hold a mommy pop-in from 10 a.m. - noon Wednesday.
• Grosse Pointe Woods will host a blood drive starting at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
