Kerby Teacher Finishes Race in Under 2 Hours

The Kerby Elementary teacher who wore a hula girl outfit for a half-marathon Saturday as part of a fundraiser for a former teacher's family completed his run in less than two hours.

Fifth grade teacher Pat Brown finished his half-marathon Saturday in less than two hours wearing the student-voted hula girl costume.

Kerby Elementary School students organized a fundraiser this month to benefit the family of a former Parcells Middle School teacher, Brian Aulph, who died unexpectedly in Feburary due to complications following heart surgery.

The students at Kerby paid at least $1 to vote for the costume Brown would wear during his half-marathon. There were five possibilities and hula girl came in first place with $632.
