Meet Grosse Pointe Farms Candidate: Liz Vogel

Two Grosse Pointe Farms residents are vying to fill a city council vacancy in a special election this month. The candidates will participate in a public forum tonight hosted by the Grosse Pointe League of Women Voters.

One of the two candidates vying for the vacant Grosse Pointe Farms city council seat touts her passion and familiarity with the community.

Elizabeth Vogel, 30, is eager to continue participating in the community where she's grown up. This is her second time seeking a council seat.

In 2011, Vogel ran a write-in campaign seeking a seat in an attempt to unseat an incumbent following in the inland district of the Farms. She was not successful but did gain a a significant number of votes, especially for a write-in candidate.
