Michigan Stories Take Center Stage in New Book Compilation
Made in Michigan Series from Wayne State Press celebrated in event, book.

(Originally published Oct. 7, 2016) GROSSE POINTE, MI — A new collection of short fiction by more than 20 writers from Michigan is being released this month in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the Wayne State University Press "Made in Michigan Writers Series."
Desiree Cooper and Gloria Whelan, who both have stories in the book, will read their work during a free presentation at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Ewald Branch of the Grosse Pointe Public Library. “Bob Seger’s House and Other Stories” also includes work by Loren D. Estleman, Bonnie Jo Campbell, Laura Kasischke and Thomas Lynch, among others.M.L. Liebler — who co-edited the anthology with Michael Delp — will also take part in the reading. Copies of the book will be available for anyone interested in buying one.
