A Grosse Pointe man feared missing has simply elected not to have contact with family. According to Grosse Pointe Woods Director of Public Safety, John Kosanke, a Grosse Pointe Woods man feared missing is safe and has talked to his parents. “He’s been in contact with family members, and at this point, has chosen not to return home,” Kosanke said.
Friday, Jan. 5, Robert Ozark was reported missing after failing to make a series of pizza deliveries during his shift at Papa Romano’s in Grosse Pointe Woods. When Ozark, 31, failed to return to his parents’ Grosse Pointe Woods home after his shift, they called police around 1 a.m. Jan. 6 to report him missing. By 5 a.m. Jan. 6, Ozark’s car had been found abandoned in Detroit, according to Kosanke.
Other media reports still refer to Ozark as a missing person. The Grosse Pointe Woods Department of Public Safety says this is not the case, and that if someone from the area went missing, the department would alert all media and conduct an extensive investigation.
