Man To Stand Trial For Wife's Death In Novi
A 31-year-old man will stand trial on a first-degree murder charge in the death of his 32-year-old wife in Novi this year.

NOVI, MI — A 31-year-old man will stand trial on a first-degree murder charge in the death of his 32-year-old wife, according to a media report. The murder took place in January at the couple’s mobile home in Novi. This week he was bound over to the Oakland County Circuit Court.
Dixon is accused of strangling her to death, Hometown Life reported. His story has changed over time though, at one point confessing, but later recanting.
"We pressed and he said he got a white tie from a Halloween costume and wrapped it around her throat," Novi police Detective Michael Marchetti testified in court this week, as reported by Hometown Life. "He had some marks on him, so we asked if he was behind her — he said he was always in front of her. He said he tightened the tie for three or four minutes. He laid her on the floor."
Dixon is being held without bond and if found guilty faces a mandatory life sentence in prison without parole.
