Accused Package Thief Arrested In Canton

CANTON, MI – Home video surveillance has led to the arrest of a 27-year-old Belleville man suspected of stealing numerous packages from residents' porches, police said. The accused man, who has not been identified by police, is expected to be formally charged within the next 24 hours.

Canton Police said the man was arrested after officers reviewed private home surveillance footage.

The Canton Police Department suggests residents to consider all delivery options available to minimize the length of time packages may be left unattended on their porches.
