Henry Grimm was born in Detroit in 1895.  When he was still a boy his family moved to what is now Livonia and the family began farming.  On reaching adulthood, Henry spent winters working in Detroit and summers working on the farm. On September 7, 1917, he took and passed his draft ‘examination’.

Presented by Donald L. Batkins. Mr. Batkins grew up in Mount Clemens. He attended Wayne State University, Eastern Michigan University, and Michigan State University. Don is retired and lives in the Boston area.
