Amish Tables In Plymouth, Is Hosting The Ann Arbor Hands On Museum
Amish Tables in Plymouth is bringing in the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum for a family orientated event to celebrate their 20th Anniversary.
Amish Tables, in Plymouth, is celebrating their 20th year in business this month, and they are having an anniversary event on Saturday, May 30th. Businesses do this all the time, and it’s a great way to get good values on the products that they sell, but Amish Tables has taken it a big step further.
They are having a unique event that is geared for the whole family. Event coordinator, Torie Wyant said that, “We want to meet the families of the future, and we want to thank the families that have been our customers in the past.” With that idea in mind, they came up with an event that they feel will be fun for not only Mom & Dad, but a great time for the kids as well.
They will be personally grilling hot dogs for anyone who would like one, and this is always a good thing, but they will also have a good old fashioned Lemonade stand, run by E & H Co. Lemonade, to whet your whistle.

E & H Lemonade is comprised of a father, and his two daughters. As stated on their website: We are a small family, with an even smaller business, selling one of the smallest, most basic products: Lemonade. Well, from everything I have seen, they do it very well. They sell a variety of different types of lemonade, and they have a lot of fans, each with their own personal favorite.
What makes this family run business even better, is their desire to change the world for the better. E & H Lemonade will be donating 50% of their lemonade sales to Water For Life, which is a wonderful organization dedicated to safe drinking water throughout the world. Not only that, but Amish Tables, along with other business sponsors, will be donating $3.50 for every glass of lemonade sold. Amish Tables is a proud sponsor for E & H Lemonade for the whole summer as well.

To top things off, Amish Tables is also bringing the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum right here to Plymouth.
The Ann Arbor Hands On Museum will be bringing their fun on the road, and will be doing a 2 hour event for kids of all ages. I had a chat with Corrina, from the Hands On Museum, and while she didn’t want to spoil the surprise, and reveal too much, she did indicate that, “We will be having six fun, sciency activities for all of the kids to do.”
There will be two activities for the kids inside the store, and the rest will be outside the store. It is important to note, that there will be a large tent outside, so just in case we get a few raindrops, this will not spoil the fun.
As I said, this is a really unique, family orientated event, and I spoke with event coordinator, Torie Wyant about this. She said that, “We really wanted an event that would not only showcase our furniture, but also be fun for the whole family.” I think they hit the nail on the head with this event, and it matches this family run business perfectly.
Amish Tables is the personification of a good old fashioned American family business.
Amish Tables started in 1995 as a side job for a cabinet builder in Ann Arbor, MI. With the belief that “Family happens at the dining room table,” in the center and heart of the home, husband and wife owners, Wladyslaw & Nell Narowski began by selling expandable tables to large families around the state of Michigan. They actually began their business in the basement of their home.
They had the belief that their customer’s enjoyment of their furniture was the best form of advertising, and their sales were mostly by word of mouth. As their dining room furniture became more popular, they expanded, and began providing heirloom quality furniture for all rooms in the house. Throughout the years, this business has grown to the point that they have had to expand their showroom a couple of times, and finally settled in Plymouth, in 2012. They also have expanded to online sales, and Amish Tables furniture is being sold nationally from coast to coast.
As I toured the showroom, and spoke with Torie, one thing became very clear to me. Through all of the success, and growth in the past twenty years, this family has never lost touch with what made them successful, and that is a dedication to quality furniture, a dedication to the community they do business in, and most important, a dedication to family. This event hits every single point.
