Bank Offers Reward After Canton Branch Robbery

An armed man, wearing a mask made of bandages, robbed the bank last week, police said.

CANTON, MI – Huntington Bank is offering a $20,000 reward for information on the suspect who robbed its Michigan Avenue branch last week, according to Canton Police. Officers said that an armed man walked into the bank just after 4 p.m on Thursday, Jan. 18 and demanded money.

After getting an undisclosed sum of money, the man escaped from the bank, according to police. The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s. During the robbery, he wore a black hat, black coat, grey pants, sunglasses and a mask made of bandages that covered his face.

If anyone has information on the suspect or the robbery, they should contact the Canton Police at (734) 394-5400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP. The bank's reward will be paid for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect, police said.
