The single most pressing issue facing our state is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
economic recovery from Covid19. Encourage state officials to allow businesses to operate freely while protecting the health of employees and customers. Continue to improve the Township's streamlined planning/permitting and building inspection processes and reasonable code enforcement.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I have demonstrated the engineering problem solving skills, financial acumen and leadership to drive efficient and responsive Township government. I have been a long time champion for transparency, citizens' rights, and small government/low taxes.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
Led the agreements to: build the Sheldon Rd. underpass; establish joint 911 dispatch with the City of Plymouth; expand low cost sewage treatment. Worked to save green space, improve our environment and expand recycling. To lower costs and improve services, I have led the effort to privatize many functions (golf course, legal, engineering, planning, lawn service, etc.). I have maintained a low tax rate and restrained spending on non-essential programs.

What steps should state government take to bolster economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic for local businesses?
To put more income into individuals' pockets and increase the incentive to work, cancel the state income tax (4.2%) for one year. Pass a state law providing protection from liability at businesses for employees/customers becoming infected with Covid19. For this protection, businesses would be required to implement state and local regulations.

How will you address the calls for racial justice and police reform?
Improve the hiring selection process to screen out racial bias in new officers. Increase ongoing bias/tactics training and improve officer accountably by modifying discipline language in future police labor contracts. Plymouth Township is using a community policing model and the department is not militarized in equipment or tactics. I have requested that police statistics (arrests/traffic stops, etc.) be posted on the Township website.

List other issues that define your campaign platform:
I am the leader of small, low cost, transparent and nonintrusive government.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I humbly request your vote to keep Plymouth Township in the hands of leader with integrity and knowledge - no special interests, no hidden agendas- driving low cost, transparent community needs.
