Canton Changes Denton Road Speed Limit During Soccer Tournament

Canton is changing the speed limit on a stretch of Denton Road over a three-day period in line with the Canton Cup Soccer Tournament.

CANTON, MI — Canton Township is changing the speed limit on a stretch of Denton Road over a three-day period in line with the Canton Cup Soccer Tournament.

Police said the speed limit on Denton Road will be reduced to 25 mph from 1,000 feet north of Proctor Road to 1,000 feet south of the southern boundary of Independence Park for stretches of Friday through Sunday.

The speed limit will be reduced from 4-9 p.m. on Friday; 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday; and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Police also said parking will not be allowed on the east side of Denton Road from Times to Landsdowne during those times.
