Computer Skills Help for Beginners

When: Thursdays, 5:00-7:00 p.m.; Saturdays, 9:00-11:00 a.m.; Sundays, 3:30-5:30 p.m.

NHS Tutoring

Details: NHS Students from PCCS’s The Park provide homework help for students in grades three

On the Spot Tech Help

When: Sundays, 3:30-5:30 p.m.; Thursdays, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Details: Tech savvy volunteers lend a hand with computer and smartphone problems that you just can’t figure out.

ELL Conversation Groups

When: Thursdays and Fridays, 9:30-11:00 a.m.

Details: Practice speaking English in an informal setting with Community Literacy Council
volunteers.

ELL Reading Group

When: Fridays, 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Details: Beginning or Intermediate English Language Learners are invited to read together and discuss short articles, etc., in English with a tutor.

Board Gaming League of Canton

When: First Saturday of each month, noon-5:45 p.m.

Details: Drop by to play some of the hottest games, sharpen your mental skills and meet new

Preschool STEAM

When: Friday, March 1, 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Details: This program explores science, technology, engineering, art and math by teaching about the Sensational Sun and Moon. It is open to children ages 3-5. Sponsored by All Saints Catholic School. Registration required.

Advanced ELL Book Club

Details: Advanced English Language Learners read and discuss books in English.

Love for Lunch

When: Whether you are making lunches for your kids, partners or besties, we encourage you to use our templates and supplies to leave them a lunchtime note.

Chess Plus

Details: Play classic board games like chess, checkers and mancala. Ages 7 and up.

Starfish Family Services Early Literacy Workshops

When: Second Monday of each month, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Details: SFS provides free, high quality, early literacy training to day care providers, caregivers
and parents. They teach topics, this month’s being Infant Toddler Social Emotional Development, developed by the independent non-profit HighScope Educational Research Foundation.

Adult Writers’ Group

When: March 12, 26; 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Details: Aspiring and experienced writers of all genres meet to discuss works in progress,
give constructive feedback, and discuss the ins and outs of the writing and publishing process.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Battle

When: Wednesday, March 13, 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Details: We supply the cards; all you have to do is show up and play, whether you are brand new to
the game or seasoned player. Ages 11+.

American Girl Club

When: Wednesday, March 13, 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Details: Character Nanea, 1941 Honolulu, is highlighted. Ages 8-12, registration required.

Bands of Happiness

When: March 13-15, 18, 19 all day

Details: Drop in to take part in a collaborative art piece. Write down things that make you happy and acts of kindness you have done or witnessed. They will become bands that create a chain, which we will display in the library.

Lunch and a Book

When: Thursday, March 14, Noon-1:00 p.m.

Details: Bring your own lunch and discuss Celeste Ng’s Little Fires Everywhere.

Dungeons & Dragons Gaming Club

When: Thursday, March 14, 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Details: Have fun while meeting and socializing with others who enjoy role-playing games. All playing materials provided, but feel free to bring your own dice or Fifth Edition Character Sheet. Ages 9 and up.

STEM Curiosity

When: Saturday, March 16, 2:00-3:00 PM

Details: Kids ages 7-10 will learn about a science, technology, engineering and math topic and
will solve a mystery problem based on their new information. Sponsored by All Saints Catholic School. Registration is required.

Nonfiction Book Group

Adult Contemporary Book Discussion

Details: Discuss Kate White’s The Secrets You Keep

Yankee Air Museum

When: March 19, 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Details: Join local author Barry D. Levine for an evening of aviation history. He will share
highlights from his book, Yankee Air Museum. It tells the story of the beloved local attraction, which opened in 1981 about a mile away from the Willow Run Bomber Plant.

International Day of Happiness Celebration

When: Wednesday, March 20, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Details: The library is hosting a celebration of all things happy as we mark the end of winter and
rejoice in the start of spring. Decorate a cupcake, listen to a playlist of happy tunes and share what makes you happy at our Sunshine Station.

Details: The public is invited to attend.

Open LEGO Build

When: Thursday, March 21, 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Details: Join us for creative play and building with our collection of Lego and Duplo Blocks. This

Count Me In! Special Needs Storytime

When: Saturday, March 23, 4:00-4:30 p.m.

Details: This sensory-friendly storytime is filled with picture books, preschool songs and simple
sign language designed for patrons of all ages with special needs and their families.

Parenting the Montessori Way: Multicultural Celebration

When: Saturday, March 23, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Details: Join Banyan Montessori Academy as they present their celebration of diversity and respect
for all cultures. Tour international booths; view artifacts from a variety of countries; experience different languages; view colorful international outfits; taste food from different continents; and
kids’ cultural activities and crafts.

Teen Boredom Busters

When: For five or 50 minutes, any time

Details: Students who need a brain break after school can learn something new, meet a friend,
relieve stress and have fun in our Teen Space with passive or planned activities, like Button Making on Friday, March 22, 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Sunday Afternoon Music

When: Sunday, March 24, 1:30-3:00 p.m.

Details: Stop in and warm up with live music by Plymouth-Canton Educational Park Jazz Band.

Escape Room: Dr. Snorf’s Laboratory

When: Monday, March 25, 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Details: Work together to solve a room full of puzzles and see if you can escape in time. This is the
same escape room that was run in October. Ages 11-18. Registration required.

Lit Lab Productions: If You Give a Moose a Muffin

When: Tuesday, March 26, 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Details: Take part in our Lit Lab Production where participants build literacy skills through
talking, writing, singing and playing. For families with children ages 4-9. Registration required.

Trivia Night

When: Wednesday, March 27, 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Details: Feel free to bring a team or drop in on your own and connect with others.

Canton Seniors Book Discussion

When: Thursday, March 28, 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Details: Discuss The Stranger in the Woods: the Extraordinary Story of the Last True Hermit by
Michael Finkel.

Dance Your Fanny Off

When: Saturday, March 30, 10:00-10:30 a.m.

Details: Caregivers with new walkers up to 5 years old are invited to have fun and build gross
motor skills through dance.
