Canton Secretary Of State Office Closes After COVID-19 Exposure
Appointments scheduled at the Canton branch will be honored at the Livonia branch, officials said Monday.
CANTON, MI — The Canton Secretary of State office closed Monday following a COVID-19 exposure, Michigan Secretary of State officials confirmed to Patch Monday. The duration of the closure was not immediately available.
"In cases like this where the branch is closed due to an exposure, customers with an existing appointment are alerted to the closure and told at what nearby branch their appointment will be honored," a Michigan Secretary of State spokesperson told Patch via email Monday. "Anyone at risk from the exposure is contacted directly by the county health department."
Officials said that scheduled customer appointments for that branch will be honored at the Livonia office.
